The media is broken and it’s breaking us.

Owned by billionaires, wired for division, built to distract.

But around the world, rebels & reformers are rising.

This is the #MediaRevolution

🌀 Join the countdown to 5 Nov: Media Liberation Day.

I can understand news avoidance, it feels like we're damned if we do and damned if we don't read it.

Plus there is a very strong argument that the billionaire media owners are masters of #menticide.

The team that brought Adolescence & Mr Bates vs The Post brings The Hack, a series about phone hacking at the News of the World & the resulting Levinson inquiry.

Murdoch corrupted tabloids for political power & closed News of the World because of his staffs unlawful behaviour.

Press corruption has grown since Levinson 1.

Boris Johnson elevated Murdoch back into power & GB News have turned into GB Fox News.

Hello #Fediverse, I'm new here and this is my #introduction.

I'm of the opinion that the first thing we need to do to usher in the cultural change we so desperately need at this point in history is a create a #MediaRevolution.

I come from the climate and transport world, both of which have been immeasurably damaged by the billionaire media owners.

I think of a world media without disinformation, free of spin with healthy free speech.

@newsmast time just keeps slipping away! 66 days til the #MediaRevolution

Have a lovely, a well deserved break @saskiakezia.com 🏖️ I'm sure Freddie will be a safe pair of hands!! 👐😍

I spend my days imagining a world with a fair media and working with others to make that happen. And so, I've made it to the #fediverse !

I'm Liz, (aka Otter) with a quick #introduction

Here for the #MediaRevolution - departure from #bigtech and champion #independent #media (or is that #indymedia -?)

Other things about me? I write poetry to stay sane. I'm not sure if it's any good. I swear a bit.

Is there anyone out there?
Will my words reach far? #UK and beyond? 🤔

This should be front page news on all the newspapers. If it was, the BBC would also lead with this story.

I doubt this story will make it into the first ten pages of the Daily Mail, Telegraph, Sum or Express let alone be given any creedence on GB News.

We need a #MediaRevolution and fast!
