Biopsy was not only negative, but also showed that I don't have licens sclerosis (!yet), just dermatitis.

The thing is that dermatitis can become LS, which can increase risk of cancer because of the tissue changes.

Hey, if you work in the medical industry and deal with patients who are waiting for biopsy results etc... please treat them as though they are important.

I get it.. you deal with the concept of biopsy results every day, so they're not that big a deal for you, but THEY ARE FOR THE PATIENT.

So, when someone has a phone appointment to get their results, PHONE THEM.

And, gods forbid you should miss phoning them when you should have, don't just reschedule their appointment for the next week because that's an entire extra week for them to worry.

And, then definitely do NOT miss their second appointment.

And then, if you do miss the second appointment and they phone asking for you to please give them their fucking results, don't fob them off telling them the doctor will call when they get a spare minute.

[I was a nurse for 15 years, and even knowing what I know.. my brain has moved from "hey, it's just a little biopsy to check nothing's going on, it'll be fine!" to "holy shit I bet it's cancer and I'm going to have my vulva lopped off" all because the hospital can't get its shit together to keep a phone appointment.]
