Another thing that is basically missing from Medea Benjamin's book on Iran is discussion of income inequality & economic marginalization of specific groups.

This is a *major* point of discussion in the 3 main texts I'm reading right now (Keddie, Ghamari, & Dabashi) despite the fact that they are all dealing with the subject of Iran's social & political situation from different perspectives & time periods. Yet Benjamin has very little to say on the subject.
