If you still think we need more "evidence" that vaccines don't cause autism, you likely also need more evidence that the earth is round and that evolution is real. The data are clear and compelling...Vaccines do not cause autism.

The CDC just confirmed what pediatricians have been dreading: Measles is surging across America. A disease we eliminated in 2000 is back because vaccination rates have fallen below the threshold that protects communities. Measles is one of the most contagious diseases on Earth. If someone with measles coughs in a room and leaves, you can walk in two hours later and catch it. The virus hangs in the air like invisible smoke. 90% of unvaccinated people exposed to measles will get it. Not might. Will. Before vaccines, measles killed 400-500 children every year in the US. It caused brain damage in thousands more. And this isn't ancient history. Oregon is seeing its worst outbreak in decades. Chicago, Florida, Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington all have active cases. The outbreaks are concentrated where vaccination rates have dropped. Where parents believed the lies about vaccines causing autism (comprehensively disproven). Where "personal belief exemptions" let fear override science. Your pediatrician isn't pushing vaccines to make money. We're watching a preventable disaster unfold and begging parents to protect their kids. If your child isn't fully vaccinated, please call your pediatrician today. Los Angeles child dies from rare measles complication years after recovery | Mary Beth Miotto, MD, MPH

What does it mean when we talk about a rare complication of an infectious disease? Our brains don't do probability and risk very well. Ask 4 people near you right now to estimate a rare complication. What answer do you get? One in 10,000 individuals who get measles will eventually develop & die of SSPE. Pretty uncommon. BUT one in 600 children under a year-old who RECOVER from measles will develop SSPE & die in their school age years. One in 600. Not so rare. "About 1 in 10,000 people with measles later develop SSPE — but among those who are infected as infants, the risk is around 1 in 600, according to the Los Angeles health department." There were 1200+ US measles cases this year so far. So one in 600 -not so rare. Over 3900 measles cases so far 2025 in Mexico (and a number of deaths). 1 in 600-not all that rare. There were >4000 Canadian measles cases this year so far. How many cases were infants? What will this look like in 10 years? Another fact: Infants are much more likely to be hospitalized with pneumonia secondary to measles. 1 in 20 people infected with measles will get pneumonia . Pneumonia is much more likely to have immediate short and long-term bad effects in infants. #ThinkOfTheBabies #ConsiderTheSchoolKids #VaccinateYourFamily #VaccinationCausesAdults

The Immunity Thief: Why Measles Is Much Worse Than a Rash

Some parents believe a ‘mild’ case of measles is preferable to vaccination. A calculated risk that might seem reasonable on the surface. What many don’t realize is that even mild measles cases…

Alberta, Canada has a population of about 5 million and already has recorded over 1000 measles cases since January 1. | Mary Beth Miotto, MD, MPH

Alberta, Canada has a population of about 5 million and already has recorded over 1000 measles cases since January 1. As a reminder, the statistics on measles are sobering before the MMR vaccine and now: 1 in 5 healthy children under 5 infected with measles are hospitalize. About 1 in 20 children get bacterial pneumonia after measles. This is the most common cause of death in kids with measles. Measles encephalitis (brain inflammation) occurs in 1 of 1000 cases. Death generally occurs in 1-2 in 1000 cases. #DontLetMeaslesAttackKids #VaccinesCauseAdults
