The Consumer Report piece didn’t look a medical meal replacers that are frequently recommended or prescribed by physicians to those who can’t get adequate nutrition otherwise.

This is particularly troubling for those of us who have regularly provided meal replacement shakes to fragile adults or children.

Ensure, the top medical meal replacer, is in there - although it’s the plant-based version. It scores in the “drink it no more than a few times a week” or get too much lead category.
