Day 2: added #LionsMane & a bunch of other non-psychedelic #MedicinalMushrooms (#reishi, #chaga, #cordyceps & #TurkeyTail) to my stack. I'd heard Lion's Mane can make some people feel the #psilocybin more, and I wanted to be prudent & not try to push my dose past sub-perceptual, so I dosed the 0.1g of #Mazatapec in the morning & added the others later in the day. So far so good. 2 more days of this, then 3 days of just the non-psychedelic 🍄 s, then I rinse & repeat for the rest of the month.
Been steadily on the mend from that mercifully mild case of COVID I caught (#VaccinationsWork #ILoveScience) so today I began my first *full month* of a 🍄 #Microdosing protocol. Having tried the #Fadiman 0.4g dose suggestion, I opted for #Stamets "sub-sensorium" 0.1g dose, and the #PsilocybeCubensis I chose is #Mazatapec, an ancient strain known for multigenerational healing use in families who would often take it together. (Macrodosing it is nice, too.) #MicrodoseStrainSelection #ShroomChooser
Why did I choose #Mazatapec? From my research and testing, I was confident that 0.4g would not cause any hallucinations or intense sensations, but I also understand Maz to be a strain with a long history of bringing generations together, as it was historically consumed sometimes by entire families as a way of fostering profound connections & promoting a sense of oneness and unity. Even if I wasn't ever "tripping balls," the essence of that profundity was there to be felt the whole time. 10/10 🍄
PS: last night's #CrowdedHouse concert was enhanced for me with the addition of 0.4g of #Mazatapec #MagicMushrooms. An ideal amount for a very public activity - although not quite a sub-perceptual #microdose, because I was feeling *something* - and the perfect flavour enhancer for a show I was already ecstatic to be attending. Although I'm deep in study about #psilocybin, it had been a minute since I enjoyed some myself! #PsychedelicResearch #Microdosing #Psychedelics #ShroomChooser #WorkJournal
