From Mayyim Hayyim:

"I have been thinking about the power of Jewish ritual to mark significant changes in my life. Over the last few years, Mayyim Hayyim empowered me to navigate joyous and challenging transitions on my own terms. In a world full of personal and collective uncertainties, the ritual care that Mayyim Hayyim offers has never felt more important.

That’s why I’m asking you to consider making a generous gift to Mayyim Hayyim."

From Mayyim Hayyim:
Mikveh Guide, Lea Andersen (z”l), unexpectedly passed away in 2022...

I am asking you to make a donation to Mayyim Hayyim’s Lea Andersen Memorial Fund. Your gift will help make the 7 Steps Mikveh Guide Training Program financially accessible so that people of all class backgrounds, abilities, and capacities can participate.

Lea cared deeply about showing up for her guests. The fact that I wanted to mark multiple occasions all at once didn’t faze her. She was patient and gave me all the time I needed. She helped me quiet the “noise” and declutter my mind so I could attune myself to what truly mattered.

I had come to Mayyim Hayyim with my friend and my aunt, a breast cancer survivor who had her own mikveh experience in 2005 after finishing chemo. Lea showed them incredible care and kindness and spoke with them the whole time I was getting prepared.

Mayyim Hayyim

Reclaiming miqvah as a spiritual act, rather than an misogynistic relic of patriarchy, is part of our mission. We stand with Mayyim Hayyim in their efforts to help educate people who have never experienced miqvah.

"A few weeks ago, I brought my Hillel students to Mayyim Hayyim. I know how special Mayyim Hayyim is from my own personal experiences. I immersed when I became a rabbi, and in preparation for Rosh Hashanah. Still, I didn’t expect how much my students would benefit from visiting Mayyim Hayyim.

Our visit to Mayyim Hayyim was more than I could ask for as an educator. It gave my students the chance to feel nourished by Jewish tradition. That’s why I am asking you to make a generous donation today. Your gift enables Mayyim Hayyim to provide meaningful Jewish connections for young adults."
