@whoosh the dead customers stories are truly emotionally powerful. That's the best part of this #kdrama
I did enjoy all the rest too. Particularly how the plot twist around the villain slowly unravels.
I want to rewatch it now 😂

Being familiar with grief, I did enjoy the stories of her clients - I shed tears for almost every one.

The overall story I thought could have been better. The side character stories & the villain didn't seem to come together in any themes for me.

May I Help You
(2022 - Prime, 16 1:10 eps)

A funeral director who talks to the recently deceased repeatedly encounters a man & they help each other overcome their problems as they slowly realize their intertwined fate.

There's an overarching mystery to solve, but each episode is about the FL's latest client. The grief & pain of loss are nicely written. The pacing seems a bit slow, & the side stories were uneven. Some felt undeveloped & some seemed to be filler, not for plot advancement.

Acting was good with unexpectedly touching stories. Uncles were funny & sweet, with a cute bromance. The leads had good chemistry, but the romance felt underdeveloped. Choice of villain was unexpected, but it didn't fit. Important info shows up in the last episode. If we had known earlier, some of the stories might have had even more meaning. I did enjoy it, but it didn't realize its potential.

#TheMidnightStudio #야한사진관

A promising #kdrama that lost its strength along the road. First episodes were funny, intriguing and emotional but somehow it became just gloomy and predictable. They could have done much better!
I didn't feel the chemistry between the leads either.

On the same genre I recommend #MayIHelpYou

@AnnaAnthro I'm watching it! Unlike you I love #KwonNara because she's interpreting the only strong character, despite the low recognition and social status.

I think this #kdrama hasn't bloomed yet. I'm expecting a plot twist that will surely come because they've hinted at it. And the romance isn't yet satisfying. Not sure of the chemistry either.

It reminds me of #MayIHelpYou though gloomier.

I watched the first episode of #TheMidnightStudio
It has a similar plot theme of #MayIHelpYou which is the best Amazon Prime #kdrama production so far imho. And it stars the lovely #KwonNara who was the only character I truly loved in #ItaewonClass

Anyway it certainly looks promising!
I read it's an original Genie TV production.

Also the OST by #Ningning of #Aespa is dope 💜

#day20 A drama that made me sad or cry

#MayIHelpYou made me cry and laugh too. It's the story of a young woman ( #LeeHyeRi ) taking up the controversial job of funeral director, only to find out that she can communicate with the dead and grant them their final wish.

The ML is guy who runs all sort of legal errands.

Certain stories behind the corpses are so sad it's impossible not to be moved.
