Planted a Cherry Sweetie and Campari tomato in the ground and finished off the row with Kentucky Blue pole beans in very small cloches that are just woodlice protectors. The garlic and beets are looking good too but the beets need some more thinning it looks like.

The new hive emptied the feeder so I checked on their progress. 6 frames of comb built it looked like all the way to one side. I mixed up some oxalic acid and glycerin and put some OAE pads on it too. There's a bit of a flow now so I probably won't feed anymore and I'll put another box on next week if they have the last few frames built out.

World Road and Courtesy Day: kudos to the children who donned the uniform to raise awareness about safety and courteous driving. A great initiative reminding us that respect on the road starts from a young age! #Courtesy #RoadSafety #Photography #May5

Decenas de mujeres nativo americanas cada año son secuestradas en EUA.

Today, on the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Relatives (MMIW/R) we honor and remember the missing and murdered Indigenous relatives whose lives were stolen or remain unaccounted for. This crisis is not a coincidence—it’s the result of ongoing settler colonialism that devalues Indigenous life and fuels violence through systems of extraction and erasure. Man camps near oil pipelines and fossil fuel projects have been directly linked to increased rates of trafficking, assault, and disappearances of Indigenous women and relatives. These industries don’t just extract from the land—they extract from our bodies. Colonialism created the hypersexualization and fetishization of Native women, girls, and Two-Spirit relatives—weaponizing desire as domination. The violence we face is not random. It is systemic, it is sanctioned, and it is preventable. We demand more than awareness. We demand an end to extractive economies, an economy based on community care, and a world where our relatives are safe and free to be who they are. #MMIWR #NoMoreStolenSisters #JusticeForMMIWG2S #May5 #NationalDayForMMIWR

Pygela

Pygela (Ancient Greek: Πύγελα) or Phygela (Φύγελα) was a small town of ancient Ionia, on the coast of the Caystrian Bay, a little to the south of Ephesus. It is located near Kuşadası, Asiatic Turkey. The ruins are right down on Pygela Plaji, "Pygela Beach." They are obviously partly drowned.
According to Greek mythology, it was said to have been founded by Agamemnon, and to have been peopled with the remnants of his army; it contained a temple of Artemis Munychia. Dioscorides commends the wine of this town. It was a polis (city-state) and a member of the Delian League. Silver and bronze coins dated to the 4th century BCE bearing the legends «ΦΥΓΑΛΕΩΝ» or «ΦΥΓ» are attributed to the town.
