Ich liebe das Trucker-Genre schon seit „Lohn der Angst“ (1953). Seit ich als Kind gesehen habe, wie Yves Montand mit Schweiß im Gesicht und Sprengstoff im Laderaum über staubige Straßen fuhr. Mir war klar: Männer, Maschinen, Risiko – das ist das pure Kino. Ein moralisches Versuchslabor auf Rädern. Und dass es 70 Jahre später noch immer funktioniert, selbst auf (zu) dünnem Eis, ist weniger ein Wunder als Ausdruck der Sturheit dieses Genres. Ein Update mit Liam Neeson und Laurence Fishburne.
