#GyazMail by Goichi Hirakawa likely is a perfect match for #MavericksForever. Last updated May 2026, running on Mavericks and having that classic #Cocoa look, including its website: https://gyazsquare.com/gyazmail/
Back on #MavericksForever. 😅 I just missed it. Getting #MacJournal and #Scrivener for free is a huge advantage of #retroComputing. 😊
Today’s #pkgsrc hacking:

1. Get fastfetch and all of its dependencies building on Mac OS 10.9 #MavericksForever

2. Include pkgsrc in the package report
So it looks like project #MavericksForever becomes #MojaveALittleLonger 😜

Ok, as gorgeous as #Mavericks is, but the list of Software I need to backport becomes longer. Maybe it's easier to bite the bullet and update to 10.14. It's not as beautiful, but at least I wouldn't need to backport software written in #ObjC and 32 bit application still work. 😉

#MavericksForever

Ok, the #Adium #Matrix plugin doesn’t take into account the server specified nor the proxy. It’s a very rough hack.

#MavericksForever

So it seems that #MacPass needs a backport, same for #MacDown, which starts, but doesn’t open any document.
Luckily #Adium starts without any problems, it just needs a #Matrix plugin of course:

#MavericksForever

Despite that #Mavericks is stunningly beautiful, fast and using space efficiently.

Second problem: Of course I need access to my service credentials as well. They mostly lie in a #Keepass database, which I want to open using #MacPass of course. But there've been many fixes since the last #Mavericks release. So I need to try and build it for Mavericks. Installing #Xcode

#MavericksForever #OpenSource

So let's see if I can get #MavericksForever running.

First problem: There is no current #Nextcloud desktop client which I need of course to have access to my files. #MountainDuck is a very great software to connect a #WebDAV resource with integration into the #Finder. Support of iterate GmbH responded immediately and told me I could use a version 5 license to run the available version for Mavericks, 2.7.2. So let's try that!
