La légende du Canadien de Montréal, Maurice Richard, désigné personnage historique
Wow! Talk about cultural differences. Someone said something that reminded me of the old ads from my childhood about Grecian Formula. I recall Maurice Richard saying in French:
"Je garde un peu de gris, les femmes aiment bien ça."
Translated to English:
"I still leave a touch of gray, the ladies like it."
Now, I never heard the English version of this ad until today. In the English version, Maurice Richard goes:
"I still leave a touch of gray, my wife likes it."
Alright.... so in the French version, he uses the formula for "the ladies", but in the English version it is for his "wife?"
Francophones from Québec are a progressive bunch.
