Btw, it has the "IS-STORM" chip, not the later MGA-2064W.
Can someone tell me why so many people and websites claim that the #Matrox MGA #Millennium does not support texture mapping? That's complete bullsh*t. It does, even the official promo video (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w76yFJ2zJyw) tells that it supports texture mapping in hardware. And how do these people even think the 3d-accelerated version of NASCAR Racing works on the card? The game is fully texture-mapped...
Anyway, unlike the earlier Impression (Plus), the Millennium does support texture mapping.
I'm a real sucker for early 3d accelerator cards for #PC, and today I got a card I was looking for for quite some time: an original mid-1995 #Matrox MGA Millennium - complete in box with all the goodies, incl. a copy of NASCAR Racing. 🥳
Next card to find is the original Mystique. I own two of them already, but missing the box and manual.
