5 Working Group members, 6 seasoned video enthusiasts donating their time, 38 volunteers (plus some off the books), and over 90 volunteer shifts to make it happen!

We're proud to have kickstarted The Matrix Conference with the Matrix Community Summit, starting in 2022, and ever more so that our operating model continues to make #MatrixConf work also in 2026 as a shared experience where Matrix professionals and the community come together.

Last year: 331 attendees, 12 countries, 52 workplaces building on Matrix.
2026 is going to be even bigger, and YOUR talk could be part of it.

I want to give a big shoutout to @svenhertle for maintaining Helfertool!

It’s the tool I deployed for @matrix to work with volunteers. After a successful test at FOSDEM, courtesy of @domrim, I’ve deployed it to our prod cluster for #MatrixConf 26 and further events.

Sven has been incredibly helpful when I struggled with configuration. Thanks for maintaining a great tool and being an excellent maintainer 🙌
