What is the Mastodon etiquette regarding boosting parrot RSS accounts’ posts from time to time? I’ve recently gone on a bender following lots of parroted RSS accounts who unfortunately represent original accounts that aren’t on Mastodon, but it’s dawned on me that perhaps the original posters of such content might not appreciate me or anyone else sharing it on another platform. This might be dumb, but I haven't been on in a while. What does quiet public mean when making a post? Is it the same thing as not showing up as a notification for people who follow me? If I'm replying to a post, is the OP made aware?
