The answer seems to be... yes.

Try posting: "🐘 Join M*stod*n"
- Even if you censor the word
- Could also be because of OCR of the image

Interestingly, with less than 10 minutes to go on Elon Musk's crowdsourced CEO question, I have noticed that the new official Twitter "Promotion of alternative social platforms policy", which effectively banned Twitter users from linking to other social media platforms (incl. Mastodon, Facebook, Instagram, and others) seems to have been taken down.

It was last online last night - according to Waybackmachine

The #Twitter Policy page pictured below explicitly prohibited the following platforms:
