Looking for some advice from #MastodonAdmins

What setting do you have WEB_CONCURRENCY and MAX_THREADS for your puma (mastodon-web) service?

I’ve set it 50 and 20 respectively for a pool of 1000 web processes, but I’ve been getting constant overloading with tens of thousands of backlogged connections.

Do I need to adjust the mastodon-streaming service settings also? I increased my database connection limit to 1500 to handle the connections plus extras.

Any ideas?

I don't like doing this but i want my fellow #Mastodonadmins to be aware of some Accounts that are Fake Artists.
Account in question is @Ericktyson[at]mas.to
This is most likely an alt account of: "Patrickparker_01[at]mastodon[dot]social"
based on the Fact that they are the only Mutual Follower they have and they only became active after the Patrickparker_01 got banned
patrickparkerr0[at]mastodon.social got also banned which is a definite second account of Patrickparker_01
Both their original Accounts got banned for: Spamming, Undisclosed AI Art, Stolen Art and Scamming
Their Linked Bluesky and Twitter accounts:

Are both suspended.
Their Mastodon Bio is definetly using AI and so is every Picture Description on their Furaffinity.
I can Provide more Proof in case they are Deleting or Changing any of their Descriptions.
Note that all their Posts also are just for trying to get Commission while none of their "Customers" mentioned on Furaffinity are named nor have ever Credited them.

Help! I’m trying to figure out why I can’t follow @[email protected]

That profile has 1.7k followers, the most recent yesterday, apparently – I have the same issue trying to load the only other account on that server.

I can load the profile webpage at https://mastodon.devontechnologies.com/@devontechnologies but no matter what I try I cannot follow them.

I’ve tried with accounts from here, bitbang.social, theblower.au and autistics.life.

If I click Follow on the profile webpage then type in any of those server name and click “Take me home” (and log in as needed) I get a "The page you are looking for isn't here.” message

I can’t navigate to their profile within my logged in Masto sessions in Safari and Chrome on my Mac; via Ivory, Safari and Ice Cubes on my iPhone; or via Chrome on Ubuntu.

I’ve tried from two broadband networks and from my cellular network.

I’ve tried posting their username in a post to myself, but if I don’t accept the default replacement option from Mastodon (@mastodon.devontechnologies.com), the profile name is not a clickable link within my logged in sessions when viewing the post.

And if I do accept that substitution, the profile which *does* load has no posts, no followers, no info.

Current Masto versions on the various servers are:

mastodon.devontechnologies.com is on 4.3.7
social.europlus.zone is on 4.4.1 (was 4.3.4 when I started trying yesterday)
theblower.au is on 4.3.8
autistics.life is on 4.4.0
oldbytes.space is glitch-soc (no idea which equivalentt Masto version)
mastodon.decoding.io (server for most recent follow) is on 4.3.2

browser.pub seems happy to look at the profile, but I’m not an ActivityPub expert to figure what’s going on:

Is there an email list, RSS feed, or Mastodon account that can contact me when a new version gets tagged in their Git repository? I don’t remember to log in and do `git pull` and the rest of the steps. I wound up on an alpha version for far longer than I wanted.
