Stitch ‘n’ Bitch: A Punk Mending Workshop

Come hang out with other cool, crafty people for a monthly crafting get-together with a focus on mending clothing and community conversations. In collaboration with Artists In Sync. Materials provided for visible mending projects and sewing/embroidery/cross stitch projects (needles, thread / embroidery floss, scrap fabric, pins, notions, scissors). Please wear a mask - we’ll give you one!

RSVP ahead of time by sending @suprsaturatd $5 to $15 on venmo, RSVPing on Lex, or bring cash/card/venmo/etc day of. Donation of craft supplies like fabric, thread, embroidery floss, yarn, needles of all kinds, pins, pin cushions, etc., for entry is always encouraged!

Hey naughty kids, please do remember to #maskUp. I know everyone's gorgeous and in the Northern hemisphere it's hot, but I promise you that

1) it is possible for you to get #LongCovid : Sars-Cov-2 does not care if you're an athlete, vaccinated, so very pretty, etc

2) you do not want to have it. You really don't. It will not improve your life.

3) you'd see a lot more of us out at the club if you were having #masksRequired events. I know some kink clubs are offering this on a weekday night, which is a good starting place, but there's room for improvement. As a community we should have a good understanding of preventing disease transmission and understanding both consent and risk. Do better. If you're hosting parties at home, ventilate and run air purifiers.

TL;DR wear a mask, stay slutty.

We're less than two weeks out from the Another Carolina Anarchist Bookfair, taking place June 28-30! 🏴📚

This fifth year of bookfair continues the tradition of bringing together an amazing community of radical theorists and committed revolutionaries. The keynote will be delivered by none other than former Black Panther Ashanti Alston, whose fierce dedication to anarchism, abolitionism, and feminism guided influential work with Critical Resistance, the Institute for Anarchist Studies, and the Jericho Movement.

In total, organizers packed more than two dozen provocative presentations and workshops into this unforgettable weekend alongside indie publishers, DIY distros, movement artists, music, and social space.
