after I posted this photo by abou 20 minutes we got a sprinkle of rain that lasted 8-10 minutes. I am sure somewhere east of here will be BIG rain! But at least we got a little teeny bit. #Phoenix #Arizona #Maryvale #Clouds
Maybe today is “make your home dramatic” day? I was so excited to see storm clouds this morning in Phoenix. But alas, even though I took this photo just 20 minutes ago, it appears we had some “rain” where I could count the raindrops sprinkled a very tiny bit over the driveway. Somewhere east is going to get this. Maybe this afternoon there will be another chance. Yesterday got to 104°. Maybe today will be cooler. Sigh. I WANT RAIN dammit. #Phoenix #Arizona #Maryvale #Clouds
On a light note, I was surprised to see this feather on my pathway to parking from a medical building. In the Arizona desert this would not be expected often. I’m guessing a turkey feather or emu? But there are no farms of big birds anywhere close. Ideas? #Bird #Feather #Phoenix #Maryvale #Arizona

Today I'm letterboxing for the Vote #Yes23 campaign in #Maryvale #Maranoa.
I'm encouraged by the number of willing #volunteers on the #southerndowns doing the same.
I might not have volunteered but a couple of weeks ago David Littleproud's taxpayer-funded politically motivated #NationalParty fearmongering misinformation propoganda landed in our mailboxes...
Maranoa is one of the most conservative electorates in the country. But it's also one where many hold deep religious beliefs or are guided by a strong moral compass and recognise inequality and injustice when they see it.
So I'm really hoping residents across the electorate (and across the nation) will acknowledge that the status quo - No Voice - isn't delivering for most indigenous people and will vote #Yes23 for change.
