The bonus there is the amazing #GillianJacobs is playing #MaryJaneGold, the flighty yet supremely organized administrator whose criminal ties—usually her lovers—helped them get folks out. If there was ever a role she was born to play, this may be it.

I haven’t read #JulieOrringer’s fictionalization, just MJG’s, #AdrianFry’s, and #AlbertHirschmann’s separate memoirs.

#Deutschland86 was pretty wild. There’s a lot of the banality of evil in the season. Martin goes way over the line in the final episode. And, bonus, it features #RockyHorror

The #ComradesAndCash documentary is even wilder. They toned down some of what happened when they fictionalized it.

All of which makes me very interested in what #AnnaWinger is going to do with the equally wild #MaryJaneGold / #AdrianFry story of smuggling refugees out of Vichy Marseilles in #TransAtlantic.
