Pasando a recomendar el álbum Pain to Power de una banda británica que se llama Maruja.

Está entre el punk y el rock y tiene algunos visos de improvisación y el jazz. Muy emotivo y sónicamente rico para su género.

Maruja

Maruja plays explosive music with post-rock and post-hardcore connections, a nu metal edge, and a jazzy sax, as they turn group improvisations into epic songs that pack a powerful punch.

Maruja is a band that threads a couple of needles all at once: Stylistically, they pull from post-rock and post-hardcore, even a bit of the loud and aggressive strand of post-punk. Vocalist Harry Wilkinson's speak-singing crosses over to rapping, especially in 2025's Pain to Power, as the explosive sound that is integral to their music shifts towards that area between noise rock and industrial. In addition to Wilkinson's primal presence, the band also boasts the saxophone work of Joe Carroll, who keeps negotiating between jazzy tones, rock riffing, and prog flourishes into their pieces to give them more layers. The band is comfortable in playing expansive, epic pieces with shifting structures, as well as veering into an improvisational space in their recordings.
