Not much exciting happened over the weekend. Went to my sister‘s birthday party on Friday evening. Woke up early both days because we had stuff to do. Exciting things, like grocery shopping and cleaning the house. But it did mean we could wrap up early. Saturday afternoon, we went to Assembly Square, fast-charged the #EV6, and had a fun cocktail at Parla XXI. It was a relatively warm evening by the fire for #martinis. And yesterday, I made a great Bloody Mary. #SNL was pretty funny.
Morning Mastodonians!
Well, that was another freezing-ass cold weekend. It's been a long time since we've been above freezing, and I still don’t see that in the 10-day forecast. The dogs and I are going stir crazy because we never go for #walkies anymore. Between blocked sidewalks, salted roads, and freezing temperatures, I just haven’t felt motivated to do it. At least it wasn’t too windy, so we were able to have a pleasant evening by the fire with our #martinis on Saturday night.
Or you could just #hold on to the #boxes for a few weeks, #drink your #martinis and then #file a #brief on the #shadow #docket with whatever you want to say and there you go.

“It’s hard being pissed with a nice car and a good job. Fed up on filet medallions and swimming in chilled martinis. We know what we think and our life here is our reward for thinking it.”

Two-sip martinis – and IV infusion drips: Soho House’s CEO on how wellness replaced hedonism

It used to be all boozy lunches and late-night carousing. Now it’s hyperbaric chambers and longevity chat. Andrew Carnie, CEO of the private club, explains how life and trends have changed since the Covid era

A while back I started making a wee bottle of pre-mixed #martinis stashed in the freezer per an article suggested by my husband who follows some #cocktail people. I’m liking the chilly result. I was making them with Lillet Blanc which produced an almost syrupy result. Now that I’m using extra dry vermouth there are these lovely ice crystals in the pour. It’s only 2% less alcohol and I don’t know the sugar comparison but I like how it looks. #cocktails
