So I didn't see one of the base towers that day, but did visit the Martello Tower at Magilligan.

I went for a little ride down to the docks today because I'd heard there was a tall ship festival. Turns out I'd only half heard, there was one tall ship, a 1930s french fishing boat, and it was a beauty.
During my visit, there was a reading of the diaries of Cranogwen, a Welsh Ship's Captain, and I believe the first female Skipper in Wales.
