You are my Morning Glory Maron!?!??

The vines over here by Maron's spot on the wall by the wood pile show deep blue flowers. I wonder why the flowers seem like a lighter blue over by the house? Is it genetic? Or a soil PH or Fertility thing? "Inquiring Minds"!!

I putter around in the morning to enjoy this summer's StayCation and get some things done before the heat gets too extreme. The brush caught my attention so I tried it out with Maron, She seems to like it.. StayCations are great to notice things, and do things you always kind of think should be done but never get around to during while going to work on weekdays..

Maron up on the wall in the sunny morning...

She just looked too cool and chill for me to avoid stopping for photos. I have to remember to get up on the roof and try tying hemp or other fiber strings from the roof peak corner down to the Green Curtain (canopies). Maybe the Mornng Glory vines with their huge (relative to the store-bought seed plants they started as years ago...) leaves can work their way up to cover the roof and cool us down just a bit more... You never know till you try...

Maron on the Wall with Tiger Lillies..
For a moment a bowl of kitchen waste was left on the wall before it got around the compost bins. Maron must have smelled something that seemed tasty because she tried to make her way over there and looked really cools standing among the Tiger Lillies. By the time I got the camera out of my pocket she figured out she was at the end of her leash, wouldn't be able to reach the scraps and sat down to figure out how to turn herself around without falling off the wall... A photo with her standing trying to make her way through the tiger lily section of the would would have been nice though..

Maron the Shiba on the wall by the woodpile again.. It's interesting to see her tail straightened and pointing back: for balance I guess. She looks more fox-like with the tail straight rather than curled. She can seem a bit reticent lately... This morning she went and laid down under the little veranda kind of place as I was leaving. Maybe it's just because it's hot.. Or maybe she was tired and wanted to let me know she didn't want to be taken anywhere with a lot of people again just yet. Lately I've been taking her out to social gathering 2 or more times a week. She seems to like them she'll put up with anyone but tends to only show and interest in people that have pets. She's very popular, 可愛い! かわいい! Kawaii!! Cute! Cute! Cute!..

An older lady friend on FB commented on the photos in an earlier post: that Maron's backside view (後ろ姿) is charming (チャーミング). I got a giggle and agreement (probably forced by cunning use of social conventions) by asking if Maron resembles her caregiver in this charming backside aspect..

The weather was sunny for a few days between days of heavy rains. I got a lot done with wood pile projects and am now relieved I didn't take the clear day for granted. It's was a rhythm to remember: get moving early with intense chores for 2 hours or so, shower, nap, then go chat at a community events and end up loaning out two books by two great authors (Amitav Ghosh and Rachel Carson: Silent Spring to a nursery school teacher watching kids wit bug nets and a newt!!) and chatting with 4 families. Three of those families will probably come the next Freedom Software event at Mimata's Free NIght School. The other family already has a freed laptop with emacs, Racket, GCompris, TuxType and almost everything else people should have....
