Computer Forensic Services, Inc is a is a computer forensics company founded by Mark Lanterman.
It was incorporated in Minnesota, and has offices in: Minneapolis; Denver, Colorado; Jacksonville, Florida; and Miami, Florida.

Allegations concerning Lanterman and CFS have recently surfaced and gained attention in the media.
Lanterman allegedly lied about their education and qualifications, including while being questioned in court. When their qualifications were called into question, they allegedly stole documents in order to impend the investigation.
CFS has also allegedly overcharged its clients, and threatened to put their sensitive data up for sale if they did not pay.

Critics point to a 2023 talk given by Lanterman. In the talk, Lanterman claims they discovered a law firm which had been attacked by LockBit, and whose client records had been released online by LockBit. They allegedly called up the company, offering their services for free, but were turned down. As revenge for being turned down, Lanterman included screenshots of records from the company in their talk.
Lanterman also claims to have contacted one of the firm's clients and offered advice, and was turned down. As revenge, Lanterman included an unredacted copy of the person's passport in the talk.
All the documents accessed by Lanterman were publicly available for free on LockBit's website.
