Jackass Ridge Rd to Cuneo Rd
Jackass Creek
Donkey Lane
These areas will be open to residents only.

ROAD CLOSURE: Jackass Ridge Road at Cueno will be open to residents only.

Please drive with caution in the area as fire crews will continue to be working.

Jackass Creek Road from Highway 120 to the Tuolumne County Line.

Per Tuolumne County Sheriffs Office

Mandatory Evacuations have been issued for the following areas:

Jackass Ridge Rd
Jackass Creek
Donkey Ln
Evacuation Warnings have been issued for the following areas:

Cueno Rd
Pine Rd
Stout Rd
Sierra Rd
Chapin Rd
A Temporary Evacuation point has been established at Lak Don Pedro Elementary School location at 2411 Hildalgo St

Per the Mariposa County Sheriffs Office

Additionally the fire is now 100 acres - per Incident Command

There is an imminent threat to structures, sending 10 engines to the Jackass Ridge/Creek area - per radio traffic

The fire is approx 50 acres in brush with a moderate to dangerous rate of spread, several structures threatened - per Air Attack.

Air Attack has requested an additional 4 air tankers and 2 type 1 helicopters.

Crews are making good progress per incident command. Canceling two of the additional hand crews and the dozer that's en route. Air attack is releasing one of the copters and three of the tankers.

The fire is now 26 acres per CAL FIRE.

March 3, 2025 – "Mariposa County Library officials announce that they now have a Seed Library at the Red Cloud Branch in Greeley Hill. We have vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

"The way this works is you can stop by, take a few seeds, put them in baggies, write down instructions for planting them, and be on your way. We also invite users to leave their own seed donations.

"This project was in partnership with the Master Gardeners, who we are very grateful to! We also have a Seed Library at the Mariposa Branch that they assist with maintaining, on a regular basis."
