[P] Yes, Peach was isolated at one point, but given the misogynistic messaging of that? I'm glad it's no longer the case. So, she's been out there, she knows how good her nation has it. Hers is a first-world kingdom where Bowser's is barely above third-world vis-a-vis resources/safety/comfort. The mushroom people live jubilant lives while the koopas struggle. And Bowser's the evil one for building them a themepark? That doesn't really track.

[P] Peach isn't isolated, she's seen what the homeland of koopakind is like. I find it odd that she hasn't instigated a foreign aid program. If she did that, perhaps Bowser wouldn't be trying to force a political marriage. He'd have to bite back his pride a bit, but he's shown that he can be humble—if albeit awkwardly. I just find it dofficult to believe in a "good" that has an abundance of plenty, and an "evil" that has so little.

[P] He builds an amusement park for his proles! Yep, that sounds evil. His koopas get to experience joy instead of the hardship of their destitution in the arid environs they're forced to call home. So, Bowser—in the games—is kind of autistic (he doesn't have social skills that neurotypicals appreciate), he's "ugly," he's a penniless king who does his best, and he truly loves his son and his proles. And that's evil. Hm. Is it?

[P] Anither example of Bowser doing his best to be altruistic, if lacking in social skills, is that he doesn't want to force his proles to work hard—he wants to provide for them. Sure, calturing sprixies might not seem altruistic, but... If they brushed him off for being autistic and "ugly," and they can build things for his proles effortlessly? Well, why won't they work with him. And what does Bowser build? Ah, that's the cherry on the cake.
