La cantante e attrice Carlotta Pinto fa parte del cast di “Mare Fuori 6” e interpreta Marika, che non condivide le stesse ambizioni della sorella Sharon (Cartisia Somma). Marika coltiva, invece, il sogno del canto e troverà un’inaspettata alleata proprio in IPM. Non è facile per lei affrancarsi e liberarsi dall’influenza di Sharon, che continua a osteggiare il suo sogno.
“Prima avevo provato a partecipare a X Factor 2025. – ha raccontato Pinto a Fanpage – Avevo superato tutte le fasi dei casting ed ero pronta per la fase delle Auditions. Proprio in quel momento, però, è arrivata la chiamata per il set. Non avevo mai preso lezioni di recitazione, ma sapevo che cercavano qualcuno che sapesse cantare e ho deciso di giocarmi tutto. Ho rinunciato al talent per la serie, non mi sarei mai aspettata di vincere il provino, è stato incredibile.
Carlotta Pinto ha i capelli rasati a zero e la decisione viene da lontano: “Ho dato un taglio netto a 16 anni, è stato un atto di ribellione. In quel periodo mi sentivo una pecora nera. Un giorno mi sono guardata allo specchio, ho preso il rasoio di mio padre e ho fatto tutto da sola. Ricordo ancora la faccia di mia madre quando tornò dalla spesa, era scioccata. Eppure, in quel momento mi sono sentita libera. Quando sono arrivata ai provini per Mare Fuori i capelli stavano ricrescendo, ma il regista Beniamino Catena mi ha guardata e ha deciso subito: ‘No, torna a rasarli’. È stato un modo per portare un pezzo della vera Carlotta nel personaggio”.

Me ne hanno dette di tutti i colori: mi hanno dato della lesbica, che per me non è un’offesa, sono arrivati a dirmi che sembravo malata, accusandomi di offendere chi i capelli li perde per necessità. Mi hanno dato della psicopatica e della malata mentale. Persino alcuni professori mi hanno giudicata pesantemente, oggi quegli stessi docenti mi scrivono per farmi i complimenti, ma io rispondo a tutti con un sorriso. Ho capito che non è un taglio di capelli a fare la differenza, ma quello che hai dentro”.

Marika, instead, cultivates the dream of singing and will find an unexpected ally in IPM. It’s not easy for her to break free and get rid of Sharon’s influence, who continues to hinder her dream.

“I had tried to participate in X Factor 2025. – Pinto told Fanpage – I had passed all the casting phases and was ready for the auditions. Just at that moment, the call for the set arrived. I had never taken acting lessons, but I knew they were looking for someone who could sing and I decided to go all in. I gave up the talent show for the series; I never expected to win the audition, it was incredible.”

Carlotta Pinto has her hair shaved to the nape of the neck, and the decision comes from a long way off: “I cut it off at 16, it was an act of rebellion. At that time I felt like a black sheep. One day I looked in the mirror, took my father’s razor, and did it all myself. I still remember my mother’s face when she returned from grocery shopping, she was shocked. Yet, at that moment I felt free. When I arrived at the auditions for Mare Fuori, my hair was growing back, but the director Beniamino Catena looked at me and immediately decided: ‘No, shave it again.’ It was a way to bring a piece of the real Carlotta into the character.”

They said all sorts of things to me: they called me a lesbian, which for me isn’t an insult, they got to the point of saying I looked sick, accusing me of offending those who lose their hair out of necessity. They called me psychopathic and mentally ill. Even some teachers judged me harshly, today those same teachers write to me to compliment me, but I respond to everyone with a smile. I realized that it’s not a haircut that makes the difference, but what you have inside.”

What this tells me is how many units are missing from each roster. The only real surprise for me is that Arcadia is SOOO close to having a complete roster…
