My remarks.

FWIW, YMMV, IMO, IME, AYBABTU, NGGYUNGLYD, etc

The gift of youth is that you don't have anchors of attachment, greed, laziness, tiredness... and nobody depending on you.

So, then and there, your life still belongs to yourself, alone. Makes decisions *simpler*, if not easier.

Also, young people are too dumb to know when they are miserable; they don't know any better yet.

And we need more of that spirit. Selflessness.

I have been to a couple dozen too many funerals for service members killed in action. Or from the invisible wounds from action. Tell you this, ONE is one too many.

Life is not sacred, in and of itself. Consciousness is. Anybody who has ever taken an antibiotic inherently knows this, beyond the copypasta babble they might spill. Thus, the sacrifices one makes, up to and including their own life, in order to stand for something they truly believe *IS* indeed sacred.

We, still here, have only a few means to honor their sacrifice: for most, live as well as you can, and protect happiness of others, as you can. For the few, happy few, every now and then, put your own ass in the line and DO something that is unmistakably a stand. Yes, with violence, if necessary; the people who want to burn the world don't understand any other language.

Maria was #Belarusian and participated in #protests in #Minsk in 2020 against #electionfraud by #Lukashenko in #Belarus

Her facial scars are from fragments of a flash grenade in the protest (I'm not linking the gory picture of her that went viral)

She volunteered as a #soldier for #Ukraine
