Oggi i veri eroi ebrei sono i sopravvissuti alla prigionia di Hamas e le loro famiglie, che non hanno perso la loro innata umanità e si aggrappano ai valori umanitari e alla solidarietà.

Un altro di questi eroi era #MarekEdelman (1919-2009), uno dei comandanti della rivolta del Ghetto di Varsavia.
Edelman, membro del Bund socialista in Polonia, è stato una voce rara e chiara nella sua forte opposizione alle azioni di Israele nei territori, in particolare a Gaza, esprimendo al contempo un'aspra critica sull'uso della memoria dell'Olocausto per giustificare la violenza e l'oppressione. ⬇️6

Dziś przypada 81 rocznica rozpoczęcia powstania w gettcie warszawskim, początkowo dowodzonego przez Mordechaja Anielewicza, po którego śmierci 8-go maja 1943-go roku w bunkrze przy ulicy Miłej 18, komendantem został Marek Edelman, przedwojenny działacz socjalistycznej partii Bund, w której programie postulowano m.in. budowę autonomicznej społeczności Żydów w obrębie zreformowanego w duchu socjalistycznym państwa polskiego
