A profile view of the massive marble sculptures of the mythical twin half-brothers, Castor and Pollux gleaming in the morning light atop the Cordonata, Capitoline hill, Rome, Italy. May 2026. According to mythology, their wish to remain together resulted in them becoming the Gemini constellation. These statues were carved around C3 and their original location was at a temple in the nearby Roman Forum and they were moved to their present location around 1584.
