This conversation seems to be about #MarathonSwimming, but it's really about life: "I used to be very driven by results, coming from that competitive pool swimming background where it's very much compare and compete versus celebrate and collaborate ..." πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈβœŠπŸ€™

Open water swimming is underway. Water quality …?

Venue view … not terrible.

Swimmers at the Feeding Point at the end of the 2nd Lap of 6 in the Womens #MarathonSwimming.

Some people were surprised that the Triathlon was held in the Seine - that was for 20 minutes.

These guys are going to take just over 2 hours.

Hard but satisfying 6hr wrap-up to a wonderful #CorkDistanceWeek, the deviously marvelous #ColdWater brainchild of #NedDenison and the #SandycoveSwimmers. Fun and glorious misery with #MarathonSwimming friends old and new in #Kinsale #Ireland. So grateful to be a part of this inspiring global family - much love πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ₯ΆπŸŠβœŠ
Honoured to receive the Cliff Lumsdon award from
Solo Swims of Ontario this year, but that was eclipsed by the incredible swimmers recognized at the #SoloSwims Annual awards at Niagara-on-the-Lake, including the extraordinary Elizabeth Fry, who has now completed a marathon swim in each of #OurGreatLakes, Maggie Regan's route-record, and Sean Nuttall's 100km double crossing of #LakeOntario, a fitting honour to the legacy of Canadian #MarathonSwimming legend, Vicki Keith. Great swimming everyone!

A presentation on #UrbanWater and #MarathonSwimming that some very patient urbanists and philosophers endured on Friday, at a wonderful 10th anniversary meeting of the Philosophy of the City Research Group at Brooklyn College. This might be the weirdest take on a classic marathon swim: urban swimming as flΓ’neury!
