#WorldTurtleDay I was thrilled to spot this Northern Map Turtle, a species of concern, on the Shawanaga River Ontario Canada. These Northern Map Turtles, at the slightest hint of danger, slip in to the water. The Map Turtles are a freshwater turtle and the light markings resemble the contours of a map, hence the name.

Yesterday's #interfaith conference on creation care was worth 8 hours of driving. I had lunch with a Gayogoho:no grandmother and heard about the battles her people face right here in New York. I experienced Shabbat with a rabbi and heard folks from Islam, Baha'i, and the Presbyterian church answer some tough questions about #ClimateChange. Ambassador #MapTurtle Declan was cute as always while I shared about the spirituality of tender encounters with wildlife and the crisis of #BiodiversityLoss.
