So, the departure of Donald Pols from Milieudefensie to Tata Steel is turning out to be a 'dodged a bullet' kind of situation.

Pols was fired from Tata after a single day, because he was the leader of the ASF in South-Africa during his student years.

The ASF was a far-right organization fighting for apartheid. Pols was literally trying to prevent Melson Mandela from speaking in public.

That's pretty close to stereotypically evil. Fuck that dude.

[A sister just returned from visiting South Africa. She'd been to Robben Island where Madiba was imprisoned. So I was wondering earlier whether she knew about Steve Biko, the godfather of Black Consciousness and then this episode delivered the example of Black Consciousness above to me.]
