Is #RSS really dead?

Though I no longer live there I still like to keep up with the news in #Malta, but why no RSS?

#TimesOfMalta - nope.
#MaltaToday - nope.
#MaltaIndependent - YES! But the Indie has a tiny fraction of the readership of the first two, they can publish what they want and no-one would notice.

It's sad that so many news sources are refusing to use RSS, presumably because they can't monetise it.
