A new #academic led #DiamondOpenAccess scientific journal called Molluscan Horizons was announced on the #Mollusca #Listserver today. The new journal intends to be Diamond OA for Global South based authors and teams but may charge a modest $90 APC for submissions from Global North based authors and teams.

In the Western Science Center’s current #snail exhibit “Life in the Slow Lane” our gold Inca snails (Pomacea bridgesii) laid eggs a few weeks ago, and last weekend they started to hatch! We now have numerous ~1mm long baby snails!
