I hardly ever go out anymore, but hubby took me to see #NickOfferman. Wow! In addition to hearing him rant against #AI and #ElonMusk, he also praised #ToolLibraries and #MakerSpaces and #DIY! And the best part? Live #woodworking with his very cool associate, #LeeKalliroiBuchanan (I loved seeing them in action)!

Hi this is Cookie! I have worked as a technician in various art studios and #makerspaces for the past ten years. For longer than that I have made art and music. I have also done a lot of work in #ArtEducation including performative workshops. I run an Open Source #ComputerClub at u of toronto.

Currently I am working on a #webart project called “Exodus Big Techius: Root to leaving Google/Apple/Microsoft for the Collective Open Source”. My other current focus is prepping for #OHS2026 where I will be exhibiting a sound #sculpture and a new art book.

For fun, I'm very into #knitting and am a member of the local spinner and weavers guild. I love hiking and native pollinator gardening. I am planning to learn #bikepacking and the bass clarinet this summer. I love anachronisms, synchronicities, and #esoterica. I wonder about becoming a shepherd or lighthouse keeper.

A bittersweet night tonight as the #omahamakergroup closed for the final time . We've had a good run. Built things, won PWRS races, blew up things and made life long friends. On Saturday we merge into #madenewmakerspace which give the #Omaha #Maker community a better facility and expanded programs. Onwards and upwards. Keep Making!
