"Wear black, bring pots and pans and join us in the streets of Portland. Come for a specific action or for the entire day.

- Court Support: 8:00am at 205 Newbury Street

- Know their Names: beginning at 12:00pm in Monument Square and going all day

- Empty Pots March: 5:30pm starting in Monument Square.

- Vigil for Gaza: end the day with a vigil starting at 7:00pm"

"More about our distinguished speaker:
Fateh Azzam Is a Palestinian human rights researcher and consultant, mostly retire after an international career that spanned work in civil society, philanthropy, academia and the United Nations. He served as founding director of the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University of Beirut, Middle East Regional Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, director of the Forced Migration and Refugee Studies Program at the American University in Cairo and director of the Palestinian human rights organization Al-Haq. He volunteers as Board Chair of Visualizing Palestine and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Institute for Statelessness and Inclusion in The Hague, and the London-based Syria Legal Development Programme. Fateh has published numerous studies and book chapters on human rights and humanitarian law, the responsibility to protect, the Arab and Palestinian human rights movement and citizenship in Palestine and the Arab region. He authored two plays, Ansar and Baggage, and most recently adapted and co-Directed #TheGazaMonologues in #Maine where he He lives in Georgetown."
