I don't know how weird or rare this is but there's a season in #NewEngland when the sprouts of fiddle head ferns are cooked in butter or steamed and they are friggin delicious! I mean ferns and mushrooms right, wildly different life but human guts can make them nutritious for some evolutionary reason!
