Weird, wonderful recent find. Not sure from where, maybe Instagram?

Anyway, MOLKROMATIC is from Maine and this EP definitely brings its namesake -- THE FREAKY STUFF

THE COMING GRASS
"FIX YOUR OWN CUP OF TEA"

Fix your own cup of tea
The Coming Grass - Topic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh_yzIBSi14

I have heard this song many times as recorded, solo, by Steve Jones, a member of The Coming Grass. It has really grown on me, which brought me back to this, the first version I ever heard. Sara Cox sings lead here and she performs the song very well.

Sara, solo, is an award winning singer-songwriter.

Sara, Steve, and The Coming Grass contributed mightily to the excellent various artists "Greetings From Area Code 207" series.

Giving credit where credit is due ..... I first learned about The Coming Grass from the Portland, Maine great, Darien Brahms.

SARA HALLIE RICHARDSON
"BLACKBIRD"

The Beatles 1968/Portland Maine 2018
by The Maine Embassy

https://themaineembassy.bandcamp.com/album/the-beatles-1968-portland-maine-2018

You can listen to "Blackbird" by Sara Hallie Richardson, Track 11 here. Evidently, though, the Maine Embassy will not allow people to purchase individual tracks. I will never understand artists and labels devising ways NOT to sell music. Be that as it may, this collection has enough fantastic tracks to make buying the whole album well worth the price.

Sara Hallie Richardson's recording is one of my favorite "Blackbird" interpretations and it is among the best cuts in this collection.

If you like tracks here, you owe it to yourself to track down "Don't Pass Me By" by Darien Brahms, which is on "Greetings From Area Code 207 Vol. 5" (CD, Cornmeal Records, 2004).

Singer-songwriter Peter Mulvey is quite particular in saying that he does not do covers: - he does interpretations. I follow his lead in making this distinction.
