It is that time again - I've paid off a bunch of rats to let me win in Mahjong :3

ReiWelp. I had a bad streak in Mahjong Soul and have too few copper to play in anything but the Bronze Room now (I am in Gold). I never knew that copper disappears if you lose a bunch. So now I either have to play Bronze room for a while (not fun for me nor for my opponents that are genuinely Bronze) or pay Mahjong Soul real money for copper. The game is essentially holding itself hostage unless I either don't have fun for a while or unless I give them money.
Secret third option is saying screw this and going to Riichi City permanently (I was playing both so far). Which is what I'm going to do, unless I find out City also locks you out of the game if you don't do well for a few days.
Doesn't seem like a good strategy for Soul to shoo away their players, though. Unless they're like "Well if they're not gonna give us money to keep playing, they're not gonna pay for the gacha either, so as far as we're concerned, they might as well stop playing, we don't care".
