Tom Hardy was at the center of a media storm last week, following rumors of his alleged departure from the Paramount+ series “MobLand.” However, according to a source to The Hollywood Reporter, no final decision had yet been made.
The actor had disagreements with some of the series’ producers, including executive producer Jez Butterworth, as well as with representatives of 101 Studios of David Glasser and the production company. Contributing to the even more nebulous situation is the fact that the streaming platform has not yet officially announced the renewal of the series for a third season, leaving many questions about the future of the project open.
“He refused to leave his camper for hours,” the source said regarding Hardy’s behavior on set during the second season, which prompted the producers to reconsider the actor’s future. The source added: “He made Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others wait for a power play. Making Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others wait is a professional suicide, I would dare to say.”
And that’s not all, according to Puck News, Hardy attempted to modify the dialogue and provide notes on the script to Butterworth and the creator Ronan Bennett. In “MobLand,” co-directed by Guy Ritchie, Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the Harrigan criminal family, led by patriarch Conrad (Brosnan) and matriarch Maeve (Mirren).

Sisyphus with a HatToday it is exactly 5 years since I climbed Knocknarea in County Sligo, home to Queen Maeve's Cairn, or Miosgán Meadhbha.
It was one of those red letter days - driving up the Wild Atlantic way, often partly enveloped in fog. Someone recommended I visit Knocknarea. And the day was special - damp and solitary. I had just been divorced, and struggled with a lot of things, finding myself free after many, many years of abuse. I trace the moment I changed to that climb - I went up the mountain one person, and came down another.
It is a special place.
