This Cuvée Prestige from Montus was ageworthy and powerful when young. It still is, but it is great to drink now. This is what I want from great Tannat. It's firm on the finish, a magnificent beast, mouth-coating, textured and exceptional. It certainly shows some mature nuances, but it is hardly decayed. It's a beauty. Another last bottle moment, perfectly timed, but if I had more, I wouldn't worry. #wine #madiran @montusbouscasse

That gives me an idea. A small importer in my neck of the woods, #WineTraditions, represents south-west #France really well (#Irouléguy, anyone?). I should ask my rep if they have any older vintages of #Madiran available.
