I finally made a DIN to XLR so I can use the UHER with a mic! Mostly for field samples that I wanna use with WaveBoy (see my @synths acct. for more info). It sounds really damn good!

Next is to make some purpose made cables for Eurorack and our mixer to make it a bit easier to swap back and forther.

Sax Happened #62

This was also a sort of made on tape practice. I recorded the song I teased a few days ago to 3 tracks on the Portastudio and then used the remaining track for laying down some sax. Sounded pretty great! Not great enough to share :P It's a lot more immediate and physical then using a DAW but also raw. Meaning punching in and out or even recording multiple parts across tracks isn't a luxury here without doing other trickery. The end result wasn't the best ever sax playing I've done or anything but it was fine for getting ideas down, which was the main goal of dawless/made on tape (trying to be creative with limitations).

So anyways mostly ran through that song. Alas I've been having to work late at the day hustle and that cut the sax practice short, but still I had fun.
