#Madaba map

The Madaba Map, also known as the Madaba Mosaic Map, is part of a floor mosaic in the early Byzantine church of Saint George in Madaba, Jordan.

The mosaic map depicts an area from Lebanon in the north to the Nile Delta in the south, and from the Mediterranean Sea in the west to the Eastern Desert.

It contains the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land and especially Jerusalem. The map dates to the sixth century AD.

Day 29: Bandırma, Turkey

I found a kitty some kilometers after the city of Biga. He was alone close to the highway running the risk of walking under a truck! I decided to take him with me in my backpack but the headwind, no petrol station and Biga (I gave him this name 😀) scretching my back made day a difficult but wonderful one. Finally I found a petrol station and I fed him with the milk taken from the coffee machine 😀 And as I arrived in Bandirma I searched for a Pet Center where a gentle young veterinarian accepted to keep my little friend. I do already miss him 😔
