Вообще единственный косяк на #macMiniG4 не работает динамик под #MacOS9, только линейный выход. Но динамик там хуёвенький и моно, так что… WiFi не пробовал, не пользуюсь, но с ethernet всё ок, afp-шару на openwrt видит и заходит без проблем

Далее хотелось бы иметь на той же машине #MorphOS + Sorbet Leopard + Tiger (стоит) и я буду совсем доволен. Ну и #MacOS7 может

I spent most of Sunday and Monday performing (analog board) surgery on this #Macintosh #ColorClassic. It's a rather daunting task —for me, anyway— as there's a lot of components to replace.

But, it at least survived the surgery and I'm cautiously optimistic this one might actually be working fine now! Unlike my other CC, which still has an issue I just can't seem to figure out. I'll continue with that one another day. For now, I want to enjoy this beauty.

Can someone help me troubleshoot #BasiliskII running on #Debian12?

A friend of mine set up a #MacOS7 environment for me to use on my Ubuntu computer a few years ago, and it still works fine, but when I try to open the same environment on my Debian computer Basilisk II seems to just quit.

No idea how to get started troubleshooting this.

I hear stories about how Apple’s System 7.5 was the buggiest back in the day but I can’t seem to find any actual information backing it up, besides stuff I’ve been told by others. I’m looking to see if anyone has information like personal experience to back this claim up about PowerPC version of System 7.5, and maybe some websites that I can research about how System 7.5 was a mess?

All I really know is the following;

- It was supposedly buggy for being a port to the PowerPC platform.
- System 7.5, in Mac circles, from what I've told about, has a reputation kinda like ME does in Windows circles.

I started thinking about the vintage web and web rings while looking through some old apps and then trying to get a browser to run under Mac OS 7.5.5 in Basilisk II just to verify that my old website works with older browsers.

(Spoiler Alert!) It’s kinda broken. I switched from inline attributes for styling to using inline CSS, so some pages had backgrounds and no gaudy blue outlines, and some didn’t. Then I got sucked into installing a period appropriate QuickTime. Pro started in 3.0 and the key I purchased apparently doesn’t work on it. 🙃 Had to try a couple of keys listed elsewhere, but it’s nice being able to watch the videos I have on my website again.

Well, here I am adding bgcolor and border attributes to HTML tags like a My First Webpage coder. 🥰

Hello #Fediverse, here's your "daily" OS-tan art!

This one is of my most favourite and underrated Apple-tan character, KanjiTalk 7.5-tan! She is named Kapone, often referred as Capo-nee (カポ姐) and is one of the more lesser known OS-tan of Mac operating systems.

Kapone was a young woman who took part in the OS Wars actively. She engaged in combat with 3.1-tan and 95-tan using weapons like her Thompson submachine gun. She has a scar on her face from her fight with 95-tan, which is slightly visible when she becomes angry. Retired now, Kapone is also infamous for smoking and for preferring to lie down on tatami mats rather than sitting on her knees as per table manners.

1 artwork shows "Macintosh System 7.5" but I presume this is because KanjiTalk 7.5 is a localised version of the operating system for the Japanese market.

She is also in my profile picture but with a more yellow blonde hair.
