Hey #AskFedi / #HiveMind,

Anyone got any pointers for setting up #VisualVoicemail on #Android #AOSP or #LineageOS-derived dialers with #MintMobile, or #TMobile or other T-mobile #MVNOs?

I called the number, set up my PIN and greeting, but I just keep getting "Can't activate visual voicemail" in the dialer, even after going to Voicemail in the settings, turning off Visual voicemail, and turning it on again.

When I was on AT&T, it would occasionally be able to fetch the VMs, but often fail. I'm hoping it might work better with Mint/Tmo. XD

I'm on #IodéOS (based on Lineage).

You may want to recommend them to test their #Apps with #Waydroid (which uses a google-free @LineageOS / #LineageOS ) and put then @fdroidorg / #Fdroid.

As for anything else, #CellBroadcast transmission through the 3 MNOs and all their #MVNOs has been made mandatory by @BNetzA and so far seems to work reliable.

I do hope @bbk / #BBK does improve their #Apps since having more options is always better.

Ideally they'd offer not just #RSS-Feeds per Zip-Code but also a convenient & accessible #WebApp aka. Website (which works in #LynxBrowser) so #accessibility and thus reach is maximized.

IMHO sollte @BNetzA / @Bundesregierung und @EUCommission konsequent #OpenAccess und #RechtAufGlasfaser vorschreiben!

Wenns nach mir ginge gäb's z.B. nur #MVNOs und einen zentralen #Infrastruktur-Anbieter der alle anbinen muss und nur indirekt per "#TAL-#Miete" sich gegenfinanzieren werden darf!

It's all subjective and based on your #Location, but what is the best #CellServiceProvider these days?

I used to really love #TMobile when it was the #Uncarrier, but staying there is starting to feel #Icky after the #PriceHike. The #MVNOs don’t seem to offer much for a #FamilyPlan with 6 people.
