I just started a new musical composition. I was watching some YouTube videos on music theory and came across the dominant seventh chord. I tried out some chord progressions with that chord on my keyboard and thought they sounded cool, so I incorporated them into a new song. This is just a seed so far, and I don't have much other than the intro.

42 years ago today, March 17, 1984, Lorrie Morgan debuted at #86 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Don’t Go Changing”. It went on to peak at #69 & spent a total of 5 weeks on the chart.

I first remember seeing & hearing her singing on the ACMs in 1984. She was among new female artists that sang a portion of their latest single. She sang this very song. I was immediately hooked on her voice. I went out & bought the single. 🎸 🎧
