MRAN is getting shutdown - what else is there for reproducibility with R, or why reproducibility is on a continuum?

Still angry about that #Rstats #mran #Microsoft bullshit.

Really, building a service all about #reproducability then shutting it down on quite short notice.

Really, trust no one execpt maybe the R foundation.

Not even posit, but there you don't have to, because their stuff is properly open-sourced and on CRAN.

Microsoft R Application Network retirement

In June 2021, we announced that Microsoft Machine Learning Server & Microsoft R Open will be retired on July 1, 2022. I will admit, I'm a little anxious that #MRAN is being shut down later this year. While @Posit package manager exists and is a really good resource for Linux and Windows, it does not host MacOS binaries.
